Acca Terms Update

Best 5+ Acca Insurance – Online Bookmakers

What follows are the bookmakers that currently offer the most generous or useful 5+ Acca insurance for my bets. These terms are liable to change and have changed over the last 12 months, so please always remember to check the terms yourself regularly to avoid being caught out.

Ladbrokes: (updated 8/11/17)

Key Terms: Every match, every league, everywhere. Each selection must have minimum odds of 1/10 and the Acca must have combined odds of 3/1+. £25 max.

The Ladbrokes offer is one of the cornerstones of this strategy for me, as they’ve offered favourable terms for some time now. Shortly after the start of this season (17/18) they added odds restrictions. However 1/10 and 3/1+ are workable.

William Hill :

Key Terms: Any Sport, £20 Max in freebets per day – can be split across multiple Accas.

On 3rd Aug 2017 Hills removed the “any odds” for selections from the major leagues. No doubt due to overuse and abuse of this offer, and also reduced the maximum to £20. We can still work with the new terms of min 1.20 odds per selection however and the added bonus here is that selections from other sports can be included.

BetVictor:

Key Terms: Opt in required. Match Betting, or Both Teams To Score market, with cumulative odds of 4/1 (5.0). Maximum of £/€10 to use on another acca (paid in bonus funds).
This offer, coupled with BetVictors “Best Price Guarantee on 5 folds”, where they will match the combined best odds from: Bet365, Betfair Sportsbook, BetFred, Coral, Ladbrokes, PaddyPower, SkyBet or William Hill, makes this an offer of note.
There’s no minimum odds per selection and the 5.0 is fairly easy to achieve.
The free bet does have to be used on another Acca, however as we’re constantly looking for Accas anyhow, over the long term we should be able to land enough winners with the freebets to at least get our money back. I’ll keep an eye on their terms but It’s one I’ve been using more often towards the end of the 16/17 season and will likely be using again.

Sportingbet:

Key Terms: All matches must settle the same day. Offer valid from 01/10/16 to 31/12/17.
Min stake £5, Max Stake £25. Any team, any league, any price. No minimum odds. Applies to ALL pre-match and in:play football bets. Free Bets valid 7 days must be used on a win single, any sport.

Sportingbets offer is a bit of a pain, as all matches must settle the same say, and finding 5 solid selections all playing on the same day when matches are spread across Friday to Monday can be tricky. However the rest of the terms are very favourable, and the fact that in-play selections can be included is a nice bonus.
Possible Strategy: If you can find three or four solid selections playing the same day, add those to the sportingbet slip, then once there’s a range of matches underway, look to add another two in-play once they have taken the lead. Just be careful to ensure goals haven’t been scored against the run of play (if they have consider adding the losing side!).
Note: Bet365 offer the best inplay stats and often live feeds too.

BetVernons:

Key Terms: Acca must contain 6 -10 selections. Combined odds of your accumulator must be placed with odds greater or equal to 5/1 (6.0). Max Free Bet £50. Free bet token must be used on a multiple with a minimum of five event selections and is only valid 3 days.
This is an offer I’ve not yet used but will consider as there’s no minimum odds per selection. I would advise caution as a) I’ve no experience with them and b) they only offer a “basic level” of customer funds protection. (read no protection).
So bet small only.

Best 5+ Acca Insurance – High Street Bookmakers

Sometimes people can’t bet online for whatever reason. And also sometimes you might be worried that your bet will stand out and risk getting your account restricted. Well there are options to use this approach in the high street, effectively betting anonymously is cash.
I should add that I’m not including offers that involve registering and using a member card or the like – those schemes just give the bookmakers another chance to monitor your activity.

Both Ladbrokes and Paddypower offer Acca Insurance in their shops.
Paddys have unfortunately recently changed their terms from no minimum odds to a restrictive 1.33. Seemingly in a reaction to people perhaps getting a tad too enthusiastic with the offer. They have left the door ajar with their new terms however as they now offer the Acca Insurance on their betting terminals in shop on any football markets. This means you can include lower risk bets such as double chance, draw no bet,  clean sheet, no clean sheet, etc etc etc.
This is a promotion I’ll be taking a close look at this season.

There’s also no min odds stipulation on the Acca Insurance coupon with Ladbrokes and the refund is upto £25.
The downside is that you’ll often find prices are worse on these coupons than online and you’ll also find that the selection of matches is limited.
Ladbrokes also offer Acca Insurance via their in shop “Bet Station” you can include any matches on this but their are minimum odds of 1.2 per selection.
So in summary they are worth looking at but not worth “forcing” a bet if there’s not one there.

Please note I cannot guarantee the accuracy of the stated bookmaker terms.
You should always check terms before betting under an offer or promotion.
Be aware that this is a moving target as terms are changed regularly.
